Consumer Affairs Cell

The CFBP encourages business houses, chambers of commerce and trade associations to start Consumer Affairs Cells within their own respective organizations to promote fair trade as well as handle and resolve consumer grievances, should they arise.

The CFBP has been instrumental in motivating various well-known business houses across India to create Consumer Affairs Cells including Akbarallys, Bajaj Electricals Ltd., Colgate Palmolive (I) Ltd., Glaxo India Ltd., TISCO and Voltas Ltd. It also responsible for setting up Consumer Affairs Committees in some National Chambers of commerce like ASSOCHAM and FICCI.
